About this song

This is the first original single as a solo artist for Oktavian! He has been featured on a track with Lucian and Mickey Valen before and have written for many artist, including his latest song with Lara Maxen (https://soundcloud.com/laramaxen/bite-the-bullet-prod-mickey-valen). He has a few features in the pipeline including one with ‘The Him’ as well as more originals that will be released throughout the summer.

Influenced by both James Blake, Soul and Pop music, Oktavian tells his story with a musical honesty that is sometimes difficult to define, but impossible to put down once it’s in your system.

Section – Withershins

Think along the lines of Radiohead meets Moderat, so dark, moody, atmospheric and transitory.

Bio:

Section is Danny Belgrad’s solo act, a 20 year-old student studying philosophy at Yale. After listening to an unhealthy amount of Grimes, he took up producing and engineering his own music.

Section’s music is ethereal. Rock influenced melodies separate him from other artists within the dream pop genre; as he notes “essentially it’s somewhere in between electronica and a rock band.”

Here’s what Danny has to say on his new single ‘Withershins’: “I accidently broke my microphone and lost my key to the basement where I was recording halfway through the song, so the whole thing kind of splits into two parts.”

Danny has finished a handful of tracks that he’s hoping to release this summer, and will start playing shows again in the fall.

About this song

Track is taken from LISSEMAN ‘S first EP ‘FUNCTION’.

The EP combines a Electro House track and + future Moombahton and criticizes the global governance and the way they deal with current world problems (or rather, how they don’t deal with them at all..).

EP drops on 6/22/16.
