Remember Drivers Education in High School, and being subjected to video tapes that were produced in the 1970’s and the audio tracking on said videos always sounded wonky — not to mention just straight out weird? We’ll upon first listen to Bibio’s latest release, “Vignetting The Compost”, that was the first image that popped into my mind and made me smile. That alone is worth a post in my opinion.
Bibio fuses folk sentiments with soundscapes and dashes of electronic elements. This album is ripe for spring, the songs on this album just brim of sunshine and rolling grassy hillsides.

I’m so glad 2009 is here, 2008 just sucked like no other — and there’s nothing better than having one of your favorite group release a new album and the satisfaction that the wait was worth it. Royksopp has always produced solid electronic tracks, and are one of just a handful of electronic artists that can produce engaging instrumentals. Royksopp’s latest offering, “Junior” is pure bliss, and one of my favorite tracks off the album is actually an instrumental, “Royksopp Forever” — way to go guys [tilts hat]!
