Landing somewhere between Dan Black and La Roux is Max Gold. Strong use of 8o’s esque sounds and a bent to the New Romantic style as well.
Max Gold has several demos up here, but the strongest of the bunch is Hold On. It’s simply gorgeous. My other fav is “Eat it Up” which is more along the lines of the Human League.
Oops was written by Tweet and Missy Elliott (produced by Timbaland) for Tweet’s 2002 debut album, Southern Hummingbird. Theophilus had this to say about this cover track and his mixtape, “I Want You”:

This RAC remix of “Walking On A Dream” is the best remix of this track and I think it’s just a hair better than the original itself. The sound of the kick on this track is to die for, quite envious.
