With wobbly synths and swirled vocals, Affair’s, “To Get” is a head trip. Somewhere in the space of The Knife and Missing Persons sits Affair.
Here’s the story behind their name, from lead singer K (taken from http://treztrez.com):
We were both in other bands when we started making music together and started this project without telling anyone that we were meeting up. It kind of felt liberating and strange at the same time. We were both in a bit of a state.
MazeMirror – Living
I truly enjoy Matthias Jakob’s voice, aka MazeMirror, with reminds me of Phoenix’s lead singer Thomas Mars with it’s smooth tonal color and energy. This particular track has that 80’s esque energy but with a contempory spin.
