Wonderful use of the Roland TB 808 Rhythm Composer for the bassline and topped with some soulful house vocals. Classics sounds all around on this track with a strong 90’s influence.
Fabich & Ferdinand Weber – Souls Together (Dinnerdate Remix)
Tranquil is the word that came to mind when I heard Dinnerdate’s remix work. Has has a knack for making tracks sound tranquil, yet energetic. Not sure how he does that, but it sounds wonderful.
Colette – When The Music’s Loud
Yes, it’s that synth bassline and drum beat that just clubs me on the head. Solid chorus with, “When The Music’s Loud”. Reminds me of a cross be Annie and Roisin Murphy.
From her soundcloud page, regarding the track:
Inspired by 80’s futurism, the shades of Italo-disco, house and electronica found on “When The Music’s Loud” reveal an artist open to infinite possibilities. Uplifting album opener “Best Of Days” commands you to move. Album title track “When The Music’s Loud” is a sleazy electro slow burner and Colette’s enduring Chicago connection is most apparent with the song “Hotwire”, which rides over the instrumental beat of acid house legend Adonis’ 1986 underground club classic, “No Way Back”.
