The Jaxx’s premiered a new track on Pete Tong’s Essential Selection on Saturday, which features Felix providing vocals. The new album “Scars” (not 100% of the title, so take it with a grain of salt) contains guest vocals from Grace Jones, Cyndi Lauper, Santigold, Yoko Ono, Yo Majesty, and Sam Sparro. Really interested in hearing the collabs with Sam Sparro and Santigold.
At first listen, “Shoes” sounds rather “grammar school yard” -esque with it’s back and forth banter between a boy and a girl. However, it’s this very same banter that makes it so damn catchy. A must watch is the video for this track (see below).

So how do you know a good remix from a bad one? Well, a mark of a great remix is when you prefer it too the original, which is the case with this wonderfully crafted remix by Aeroplane. They even replaced the main vocals from Friendly Fires lead vocalist, Ed Macfarlane with Au Revoir Simone.
