Fixated between Siouxsie & The Banshees and The Cure and a dash of Cystal Castles and you will find Tying Tiffany. This particular track is probably the most “electronic pop” of all the tracks, but it’s my favorite. But don’t let that deter you from seeking out the other tracks on her album, “Peoples Temple”, which is a strong release in it’s entirety.
So good to hear from Dido again and this time it’s full on electronic bliss. She is changing direction with her sound for her forth studio album, which is expected sometime this year. You can get a taste of this new direction from her new track off the Sex in The City 2 soundtrack, “Everything To Lose”.
I used to be so fearless, so limitless and free
Happy on my own and nothing really bothered me
I had desires to see the world, jump out of planes and fly
I loved to be alive, but I was not afraid to die
I loved to be alive but I was not afraid to die…
I used to be so sure of things and self contained
I could carry on with no need to explain
It didn’t matter if I ever made it home
Could go too fast, drink all night and dance alone
I loved to be alive but I was not afraid to die
I loved to be alive but I was not afraid to die
Since I met you, I’ve got everything to lose
Since I met you, I’ve got everything to lose
I used to be so thoughtless so easy and free
Could walk away, not think ahead and had no plans to keep
No hand to hold no one to bring down with me
I wouldn’t see the worst and it only hurts me
I loved to be alive but I was not afraid to die
Since I met you, I’ve got everything to lose
Since I met you I’ve got everything to lose

Gordon Voidwell throws down some retro George Clinton Atomic Dog and Tom Tom Club’s Genius of Love feel, but with a modern twist on his latest single “Ivy League Circus”.
You can download Gordon’s mixtape, which includes “Ivy League Cirucs” here.
BIO:
William Gordon Johnson (1983 — ), well known by his pen name Gordon Voidwell, is a Bronx-born singer, songwriter, musician and fashion writer. He is noted for his mixtape Voided Checks (2009), which has been called “electro-fantastic…hip-hop-esque [and] yacht-rockin.”
Voidwell’s keen wit, incisive satire and undeniable danceability has earned him praise from critics and peers alike. A friend to presidents, artists, industrialists, and European royalty, Gordon is extensively grooved to, fucked to and listened to on the train.
Inspired by Talking Heads, The Rah Band and Marz, Voidwell’s new single Ivy League Circus teems with recession-era energy for those who are bullish on beats and bearish on modesty.
