Off of Benny’s latest release, “Electroman” is sweet slice of electrohouse which features the soulful voice of Gary Go. Gary Go is an automatic love to collab with Benny for me. There are other collaborations on the new album, which are very mainstream oriented and not really my cup of tea, like T-Pain on the title track, “Electroman”. However the brightest points on the album are all three tracks that feature Gary Go – most definitely there is a chemistry there between the two of them.
Press Release:
Picking up where last year’s Careless/Odyssey double A-side left off, Get People’s sophomore EP release Rain Tears is another slice of infectious, intelligent pop music. Rain Tears will be released on Friends vs Records on July 11th 2011.
The enveloping haziness of the EP’s eponymous lead track is both elegiac and danceable, a clear demonstration of the band’s ability to create tropical, club-worthy tunes with an emotionally-charged basis. Across the record’s remaining three tracks, Get People perfectly fuse dance, indie and world influences, bringing to life a sound awash in marimbas, synths and tape loops.
With their aforementioned debut single selling out in weeks, and shows and tours with the likes of Metronomy, The Wombats and Crystal Fighters already under their belts, the band’s self-produced, sun-kissed sound is sure to raise many heads in 2011. Rain Tears will be released on Friends vs Records on July 11th.

Making creating use of Imogen Heap’s original track, “Wait It Out”, Reverb Junkie has made the instrumental sound as those it’s a missing Frou Frou track. Great job indeed. The chorus is just lovely.
