Theophilus London – Oops (Tweet Cover)

Oops was written by Tweet and Missy Elliott (produced by Timbaland) for Tweet’s 2002 debut album, Southern Hummingbird. Theophilus had this to say about this cover track and his mixtape, “I Want You”:

Was a hard one covering this track. Def. wanted to cover an edgy song on “I WANT YOU” Shouts to Hudson Mohawke for killing the sounds

Lil Jon ft. LMFAO – Outta Your Mind

Tonight was a landmark show for So You Think You Can Dance because of what transpired when Alex Wong, a trained ballet dance from Vancouver, British Columbia did with a Napoleon and  Tabitha D’umo hip hop routine which saw him dancing with all star Stephen “Twitch” Boss.   It was nothing short of spectacular, you could feel the energy from the start it and  never let up.    This was pure magic and the track they danced to was, “Outta Your Mind” by Lil Jon featuring LMFAO.

This is the routine that just killed it tonight:

Mark Ronson – Bang Bang Bang (ft. MNDR & Q-Tip)

Took me a couple of listens but I finally figured out who MNDR (pseudonym of Amanda Warner) reminds me of on this track, it’s Missing Person’s lead singer, Dale Bozzio – check her  out here:  “Walking in LA“.
So Mark Ronson (as in Grammy winner – produce of the year 2008 for Amy Winehouse’s, “Back to Black”) is set to release a new full length titled, “Record Collection”, from which this is the first single.  And damn, it’s good.   Great jam for summer with its breezy vibe and 80’s esque keyboards.   Mark gets help on this track from not only MNDR but also Q-TIP.  This is an automatic for my iPod.
