Sooooo good to have Lamb back in action again. It’s been ages, to be exact eight years, since we’ve heard from them and they do not disappoint on their latest effort, entitled, “5” (as in their fifth studio album). They still have that deep throbbing bass in their sound, but now it’s topped with bit-crushing drums sounds as opposed to the more traditional drum n bass sounds that adorned their early work. Vocalist Lou Rhodes sounds as good as always.
Love this semi-unplugged version of Plan B’s, “He Said” by CocknBullKid & Clare Maguire – when the organ part comes in, it just kills. Also dig the back up vocals, when the guys chime in — good stuff.

Beautiful song, and moving video. The song is built on pizzicato strings, running water samples, and twisted orchestral elements. Lead singer Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild’s vocal really delivers on this closing track to their album. Read my previous post on them here.
