Dubstep vibe but more on the Trip Hop side of the fence. The chorus is more straight up Trip Hop with the drums and guitar work. What sets it apart though is the vocals. Warm and subtle and never overbearing. The vocals are relaxed but fit the vibe and mood of the track. As his bio states: “Musicmaker from Birmingham/Berlin depending on the weather.”
Track really kicks off at the one minute mark so be sure to hold on till there. When it does kick off you land in a heavy synth bassline with subtle vocals before landing in the first verse around the 1:36 mark. The synth bass really holds it all together with its groove. The atmosphere is club-esque with the tribal drums and funky bass.
Smokey vocals atop of a driving house beat and pulsing bassline is the frame work for the latest release from Klangkarussell (translates to “Sound Carousel” in English). Drama is the order of the day on ‘Shipwreck’ with its sonic elements peaking to a crescendo in the chorus. The song builds up and up to a rousing beat and sonic atmosphere that is sure to have people lost in its atmosphere on the dance floor. Klangkarussell is a duo from Austria.
