Sly – Cotton Candy (with Emily Warren)

From the start, the vocals pull you in and never let go. Emily Warren’s voice is so intricately textured and elevates the track to another dimension. The song is a bit dark but hypnotic and deep at the same time. Sly (aka Sylvester Sivertsen) has built a well constructed track with top-notch production. The track is full of atmosphere and mood and the video only builds on that. Sly had this to say about the track:

‘Cotton Candy’ is a song about not being ready to give up and Emily got back with her boyfriend the next day.”

thom.ko – Confusion

Indie Pop / R&B tune infused with some Deep house feeling. The atmosphere is easygoing and rolls along a steady beat that picks up with some hats and a solid baseline. I like the vocalist here and how he slides around in the atmosphere to tell his tale. It’s a mix of elements in all the right places. The 21 year old singer-songwriter currently calls Los Angeles, California home.

Pagoda – Public

Fun indie pop track dealing with a relationship that needs to go public. Has a fun hook with a clean and crisp guitar and drums. I like the synth intro that jumps right into the first verse. The vocalist has a cool laid back vibe on the track till it picks up near the chorus with vocal harmonies for warm rich tones. Pagoda is Electro Pop duo from America.
