The Swoons – Sabre

Electronic pop duo The Swoons, hailing from both London and Toronto, have just released their new single ‘Sabre’. It’s an emotional plea set against a muted house beat. I really like how the kick isn’t dropped on the first beat but comes after the words of “So Let Me Be Your Sabre”, excellent touch.

Bio:

The Swoons are an electronic pop music duo from London, UK and Toronto currently studying at Berklee College of Music. We are currently working on releasing new singles, working towards an EP as we develop our sound as an artist group. We are performers, writers and producers with our new song produced with Berklee alumni and LA Electronic producer ‘DeafKulture’. Our sound currently blends the organic sounds of pop with the synthesized textures supporting clever concepts, hooky melodies and emotional performances.

CNYNS – She Can Dance

Vocally it reminds me at times of Hall & Oats. CNYNS, based out of Los Angeles, California is the pseudonym of Chase Rossner. The track is an upbeat / mid-tempo electronic pop track with a bit of disco guitar in the mix.

ISLE – Luna

This is the 3rd track from their first EP ‘Grey’. Has some rock influence and really interesting sounds running in the track. Reminds me a bit of Empire of the Sun.

About this song

“Luna is about purpose, finding your way and following a path. It’s about listening to that internal compass we all have and making sense of what it’s telling you”.

ISLE are multi-medium musicians based in the stark Scottish Borders. Comprising of producer Liam John Rutherford and drummer Ben Singer, ISLE are avid self-producers who partner audio and visuals to create an all-encompassing experience. Emotion-fuelled precision meets epic methodical drums to create raw alt-pop that punches and pulls.
