Press Release:

DELICIOUS VINYL AND B’MORE CLUB KING AARON LACRATE JOIN FORCES

TO FORM NEW LABEL IMPRINT DELICIOUS GUTTER

PRESENTING THE ULTIMATE IN GHETTO HYBRID MUSIC!!!

Hang onto your high beams, Delicious Gutter is here! A joint venture of vaunted L.A. record label Delicious Vinyl and Baltimore’s Gutter music gadfly Aaron LaCrate, Delicious Gutter is a new imprint devoted to spreading Pure Gutter Heat !!

Aaron LaCrate is the renowned designer (Milkcrate Athletics), tour deejay (Dizzee Rascal) and remixer (Lupe Fiasco, Lily Allen, E-40) chiefly responsible for bringing B’More Gutter club sounds to the masses. Earlier this year Delicious Vinyl released Aaron LaCrate & Debonair Samir’s RMXs of Young MC “Know How Theme” and Masta Ace Inc’s “Jeep Ass N@#%.” One of the major club hits of 2008, Delicious Gutter RMXS led directly to the formation of the Delicious Gutter imprint.

Delicious Vinyl’s Rick Ross: “After the stomping success of the original Delicious Gutter 12-inch, we were fiending to do something more with LaCrate. Aaron is an energetic entrepreneur, a twisted visionary, and a head-banging homeboy. Founding Delicious Gutter with LaCrate is a freaky dream come true. Combining knock-out club jams with the spirit of golden era rap is what we’re all about.”

Aaron Lacrate: ” This is the next level style! Once ‘Know How Theme’ took off, we had no choice but to create the last great collaboration in the music biz, Delicious Gutter. The combination of LaCrate and West Coast Boss Rick Ross is pure bass for your face. Pure bounce for the 40 ounce! The best of two kinds of party music. That’s the sound of Delicious Gutter. We gotta do this for the kids man, they need us to expose them to the other side of the tracks – the best music, not the biggest hype. Get ready, because Delicious Guttter is bringing the most Gutter Breaks from the most gutter crates!”

Delicious Gutter’s second official release is Don Rimini’s Kick’N Run EP. As the new jam master of the Paris underground, Don Rimini delivers sweat-soaked hooks over intercontinental ballistic beats…prompting datatransmission.co.uk to deem the Kick’N Run EP “full of peak time set punishers…frantic and euphoric.” As Rick Ross says, “The Don Rimini EP is one of the hardest record you’ll hear all year, and it’s just the beginning. It’s like the homey Oscar Wilde once said: ‘We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.'”

Here’s a little something to kick off the weekend right!

Love the church-esque keyboard sound on this track around the 4:00 minute mark.

Last.fm bio:

Made up of Simon Lord (previously of Simian fame, whose band mates currently make up production duo Simian Mobile Disco), and Theo Keating (previously of The Wiseguys), inspired by producers like Daft Punk and Timbaland combined with Theo’s previous Djing experiences, the Black Ghosts offer a refreshing take on the arguably tired electro-rock genre.
