His vocals are what caught my attention. He has a similar texture / style of John Lennon who is my all time favorite artist. So out of the gate, this was already on the right track. The production reminds me of Jeff Lynne (of ELO fame) when he was with the Traveling Wilburys. All around solid production with great vocals and melody. After reading his bio, I see he hails from Liverpool. It all makes sense now.
The artist had this so say about ‘Faster Than Light’:
Really heavy, really catchy, and loads of groove is what it is. It’s the best rock and roll song I’ve done, I mean its a pop song really, like all the best rock and roll songs – we just delivered it in a heavy package. It has my favourite lead guitar break to play at the moment, especially the intro which has a bit of an Albert King thing about it. My guitar playing has always been heavily influenced by blues, but I don’t think I’ve really put it out front so much before, so I really do dig that this one has a bit more of that about it. It’s going to be massive live, and I can’t wait to play it.
From the moment when the first kick drops this remix had me. I wasn’t familiar with the original version but was shocked when I heard a female vocal as opposed to the male vocal on the remix. As I checked out the original, which is solid on it’s own, this remix is more in my vein of electronic music that is slightly askewed. Clear Eyes take the original and infuses it with a dub step vibe and grounds the track with more emotion. The builds are never over the top but are tastefully done.

Fans of Hot Chip should really dig this track. It has that quirky quality that Hot Chip has in their music. The vocals I would say a bit better than Hot Chip since Edwin has a bit more depth to his voice. One of my favorite tracks at the moment – been on heavy rotation at home and in my car.
Edwin has this to say about the track, “The River is a song about love and mistakes. As humans we get caught up in a lot of things. Distractions can really get us in a pickle and its worse when hindsight presents us with all the signs we missed clear as day.”
A bit of a departure for me but this track is so addicting like cotton candy. Hip hop beat with a catchy hook of “I got the voice, I got the power, look at me I’m only going harder”. That lead line is killer which underpins the vocals. Zombi Knves hails from the United States.
Had to sit with this one as it just kept getting better after multiple listens. His vocals remind me a bit of Kurt Cobain, can’t quite put my finger on it but there is something that reminds me of him. The build on the track is addicting. The first chorus is so sweet and short you can’t wait for it to come back around and really let loose. When you get to the 2nd chorus you get hooked and it’s only up from there.
