Nostalgic 80′s sound with it’s drums drenched in reverb and arpeggiated chords. Dana’s voice is cool and dreamy.
What do you get when you blend up some “Blue Monday” by New Order, throw in some “Don’t You Want Me” by The Human League a splash of “Cars” by Gary Numan, a dash of “Tainted Love” by Soft Cell, a sprinkle of “Da Da Da” by Trio and finish if off with “Close To The Edit” by Art of Noise? Well you get, “Come Back Down” by Trevor Something of course! Trevor takes all these classic tracks and blends them up together to make his own sonic collage.
This track can be found on his latest release, “Trevor Something Does Not Exist”available on bandcamp.
This is a re-work of the classic 1982 track, “wot!” Think Ian Dury (“Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick”) meets Bananarama.
Big thanks to elecktrofever for pointing out this gem of a track. Catchy track with well played vocals and splashes of synths. Such a cool break down in the bridge, well done.
