Yes, some new Karl Kling. I was initially introduce to him by way RAC when they joined forces to form The Pragmatic (The Pragmatic – Rendezvous). Since first listen of Rendezvous, Karl has always been a vocalist I would love to work with under my “Odd Year” moniker. So much so, I even reached out to him several years back, but perhaps one day I’ll be able too (keeping fingers crossed). Till then, we have new single that was just released today named, “I Will Wait” — fitting, no?
The interplay of Trip Hop, Electronica, Soul and Pop is done with exquisite taste. Shapes is taken from the just released EP named, Unravel.
The Unravel EP is centered around beat-driven compositions with rich electronic textures and lilting melodies. Hints of psychedelia, hip hop, dub and indie rock are scattered throughout to create a layered sound that is both fluid and grounded in a diverse array of influences.

The Seshen is a Bay Area-based electronic septet that has shared the stage with other pop music innovators such as tUnEyArDs,Thundercat and Hiatus Kaiyote. We will be having a release party at Leo’s in Oakland, CA with local bands Waterstrider and St Tropez. We’ll also be hitting the stage with label mate Alice Russell in San Francisco and Los Angeles October 23rd and 24th.
