Crywolf & Lanborg – Oceans

Crywold

Manipulated sampled vocals, a dubstep bassline, and piano chords make up the unusual tapestry of sonic delights on this new track from Crywolf & Lanborg.  Recently signed with Le Castle Vania’s label Always Never, Crywolf teams up on this particular track with Canadian liquid-step producer Ianborg.  Crywolfs first EP is set to drop in April.

Jagwar Ma – The Throw

Jagwar Ma 1

This track brings back found memories of listening to that “Madchester” sound from artists such as The Stone Roses, 808 State and Happy Mondays back in the early 90’s. This type of sound mixed house with psychedelic rock. However, this is particular sound is hailing from Sydney Australia courtesy of Jagwar Ma!

Abbe May – Trouble (T.R.O.U.B.L.E.)

Think a mix between Hot Chip’s vocalist Alexis Taylor and Siouxsie Sioux (from Siouxsie and the Banshees) and you’ll land pretty close to Abbe May’s sound on this track from her forthcoming album due out this May.  Love the fade out on this track as well.

Press Release:

After experimenting for a solid year with a mellotron and drum machine, ‘T.R.O.U.B.L.E’ was combined with a throbbing electro pulse, reverb-drenched vocals, and haunting background falsetto. The result is a lurching, Frankenstein-monster-esque beat layered with the slinky and sex-sodden drip feed of Abbe May’s voice; an example of the uncompromising doom pop that only Abbe May does so well.

‘T.R.O.U.B.L.E’ builds further upon the abrupt change in gears seen in previous single ‘Karmageddon’. With Abbe May swapping strings for synths, all while maintaining her trademark sexual swagger: retaining the hallmarks of her past successes, but while pushing the boundaries of her musicality. All (and more) will be revealed in her upcoming album Kiss My Apocalypse, due for release in May 2013
