Little Daylight – Glitter and Gold

A bit dreamy, a bit 80’s and a whole lot of fun.  Love the record cover as well.

Short bio:

Brooklyn trio Little Daylight has unveiled their third track “Glitter & Gold” today via Popjustice. The bouncy synth-driven tune, destined to become this summer’s anthem, will reside on the band’s highly anticipated debut EP Tunnel Visionwhich is set for release on August 6, 2013.

Little Daylight was born last summer when members NikkiMatt, and Eric spent a month at an upstate lake house, sketching the ideas that would become their first singles.  A three-headed hydra at work, Little Daylight primed the world for their electro-pop aesthetic through a series of official remixes for the likes of Passion PitEdward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, and Freelance Whales. A fully collaborative effort (doing everything themselves), the re-works paved the way for their own originals to do the heavy lifting, as the band slowly unveiled their full artistic vision as both producers and songwriters.

Favored Nations – Blame Game

FavoredNations

Big nod to 70’s soft rock on this track.  Mellow, but cool which features the talents of Morgan Phalen (Justice, Phenomenal Handclap Band), James Curd (DFA, Exploited), and Surahn Sidhu.

short bio:

The trio draws upon a wide array of influences to create a unique collection of sounds in their debut EP titled Blame Game. Favored Nations shares the lead single by the same name with Prefix Magazine, who call“Blame Game” a “bubbly fun production with sweet sugary hooks made of poppy synths, disco bass lines and four on the floor drum beats.” Morgan’s vocals are complemented by the refreshing, organic sounds of a collection of instruments. “Blame Game” is a warm slice of summertime; a sun-soaked pop confection ready for the pool, the radio, or the convertible.

Fresh and funky disco house from Daze and talkbox action to boot.

Daze – S.O.L.A.R (Sound of love around radios) by -DAZE-
Bio:

Daze, a guy straight from France, that produces Nu-Funk music with his vintage synths, vocoders and talkboxes.

When we was a kid, he has fallen in love with the funk teachers like Cameo, Zapp & Roger to D-Train, Skyy, Midnight Star, George Clinton and all the New-York’s Funk underground scene. Funk has always and will always take an important part in his heart & in his compositions.

His music is made without any sample, using only his vintage synthesizers like his “teachers” did years ago, so this is real stuff baby, not laptop music.

S.O.L.A.R (which means Sound Of Love Around Radios) is all about funk and emotions. Be ready to share this positive and energic music & spread the world!
