The All Seeing I – Beat Goes On

1960

It’s Friday, and it’s time too kick it “Old Timey”

The Beat Goes On was originally   recorded in 1967 by Sonny and Cher and then cover/remixed by the “All Seeing I” in   1997.   Love the original, but of course I prefer this version.   Kinda has a FatBoy Slim feel to it.

What also followed a year later was a mash-up of “The Beat Goes On” with Puretone’s track, “Addicted to Bass”.

Adele – Cold Shoulder (Garbs Infinite Remix)

The following is a mash-up of sorts: Adele:1988.     This is a reinterpretation of Adele’s album 19 married with 1980s drum loops.

Details From MickBoogie.com:

Fresh off the success of the internationally-acclaimed Viva La Hova, the MB team have reunited to introduce rock star Adele (nominated for 4 Grammy awards) to a whole new audience.

Adele’s album 19 set trends and created influence in the pop, rock and international worlds. But what would happen if the vocals and instruments of 19 were combined with the hip-hop sensibilities of the late 1980s, considered by many hip-hop’s golden age?

The result is the new release from Mick Boogie… Adele: 1988.

More than a mashup, it’s a complete reinterpretation of Adele’s album as only Mick Boogie and friends can do.

1. Chasing 1988: The Intro (f/ 6th Sense)
2. Day Dreams (nVMe Remix)
3. Tired (6th Sense Remix)

5. My Same (Garbs Infinite Remix)
6. Melt My Heart To Stone (Kickdrums Remix f/ Big Pooh)
7. Cold Shoulder (Garbs Infinite Remix)
8. Right As Rain (nVMe Remix)
9. Make You Feel My Love (Remot Remix)

Mylo – I’m Back (Radio Rip)

myloThis is a radio rip from the Annie Mac Mash Up Show.

From the wiki:

Radio 1 UK played a world exclusive of a new track by Mylo on 23rd January 2009 on Annie Mac’s Mash Up show. The title of the track is unconfirmed, however Radio 1 referred to it as ‘I’m Back’, because, as Annie Mac states, “he (Mylo) sent it to us with the file titled I’m Back”.

So looking forward to his full length release this year.   His one of those producers who can write an instrumental track and you won’t even notice there isn’t any vocals.   I love electronic music (no duh huh?), but I usually always prefer vocals of some sort on a track.   One exception to that rule for me is Mylo.   Always intriguing and entertaining music production that always delivers.
