Chew Lips – Slick

Chew+Lips

Enjoying the melancholy of this electronic pop track from Chew Lips.   Must admit this fits nicely between my Hot Chip and Little Dragon tunes on my ipod.   They are set to release a full lenght this coming January.

Bio:

Chew Lips are three kids from London (Tigs, Will and James).
They play lo-fi tech tunes that are infectious and have been together since about March 2008

PicturePlane – Goth Star

If you took Empire of the Sun and smashed them with Passion Pit, you have a track like “Goth Star”.

Pictureplane

If you took Empire of the Sun and smashed them with Passion Pit, you have a track like “Goth Star”.  PicturePlane (aka  Travis Egedy) samples  Fleetwood Mac’s (“Seven Wonders“) and makes a delightful moving piece of electronic pop candy.

Bio:

Pictureplane is the stage name of electronic musician Travis Egedy. He first appeared in the music scene of Denver, Colorado, making a name for himself at the warehouse Rhinoceropolis. His recent album, Dark Rift, attracted attention when it was well-received by Pitchfork and other critics.
