The drums ground it to earth while the organs and synth elements take it to new grounds. The song focuses on parasitic relationships and how to break old patterns of interaction. Cults is the duo of Madeline Follin and Brian Oblivion.

The track opens with up with a melancholy chord progression on acoustic guitar and Jimmy’s scratchy voice that is perfectly matched to the overall vibe. The track progresses to the chorus which is a blend of indie pop and electronica with it’s electronic textures that are tastefully placed. The melody of the chorus is beautiful as well as the ambience.
