  • Teenage Love – Lazer Eyes

Unconventional comes to mind while listening to Teenage Love.  It’s experimental electronic pop infused with a lovely violin lead line.

    Short Bio:

Teenage Love is pop duo Katy Gunn (Brooklyn) and Anna Lidell (Copenhagen). After meeting up in NYC, The two songwriters joined forces July of 2014 in Mols, Denmark to cook up some songs at Lidell’s family home. Between dashing down to jellyfish-infested waters and back up to the house (to dry off in the tiny bathroom sauna), Lidell and Gunn recorded a series of songs for an EP.

  • Aeroplane – Let’s Get Slow (ft. Benjamin Diamond)

Top of the list for me for this years releases. It’s a mix of George Michael meets TEED and a splash of Pet Shop Boys. It’s fun, its got a killer melody and all round well produced.  If the vocalist sounds familiar it’s because he also was the vocalist on “The Music Sounds Better With You” by Stardust.

  • Quigley – Lost Again

Quigley has a voice that sits in the space of Kate Bush meets Lykke Li.  There is that little girl quality of Lykke Li but the emotional complexity of Kate Bush.  On top of that, she has a sense of experimentation of Grimes.  All-in-all, so glad I stumbled onto her sounds.   This track is taken from her forthcoming EP, Initium out May 8th.
