    Steve JamesRemix opens up with a spoken word sample from the movie 500 Days of Summer which talks about the emptiness of words, in particular the word Love.  This sets the more melancholy ache of heartbreak for the track.  SouthHum elevates the pop tune with a deep house sound.

    Based in Los Angeles, he has been witness to the growing movement in the United States and has been influenced by many of the trailblazing acts based in the LA area. This remix of of Steve James’ “Renaissance” distinguishes itself from the rest of the pack by refusing to adapt to the future bass trend. Instead, groove and and the emotion of the lyrics are at the root of the remix.

    Bio:
    Kevin Courtois began spinning seven years ago and produced his first track when he was fifteen that was featured on the compile of Kontor Records.

    He devoted the next three years producing as F&S. He signed his first track two years ago with New York City’s label Uprise Music.

    Kevin was featured as artist of the month on the talent pool of Spinnin Records. Aside from production he has traveled around the world to DJ, including:  New York, Saint Tropez, Miami, Moscow, Monaco, Cannes, Santo Domingo,  Montreal, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Port au Prince etc.

    He is currently a resident DJ at Lavo and Bagatelle in New York City.

    He is in the process of producing new tracks for 2016.

Having shared the booth with notable artists such as Alex Metric, The Magician, and Jonas Rathsman, he is quickly making a name for himself internationally and amongst the city’s local electronic music scene.
