  • Labyrinth Ear – Navy Light

There is something so endearing to this track, perhaps it’s the soft spoken vocals that appeal to me.   Strong influence of 80’s synth pop in action here from the beloved reverb claps to the plucky bassline.

  • Thomas Azier – Fire Arrow

Being a big fan of Thomas Azier and his brand of electronic pop, it’s always a pleasant surprise to see a new track up on soundcloud.  This track is from his upcoming EP,  Hylas 002 (10/23/12).  Forewarned, it does take about a good minute for this track to really surface from the sonic abyss of the intro — but it’s worth the wait.

    Thomas Azier – Fire Arrow

    Lyrics:

    Fire Arrow

Longing for the green fields that I once walked
Dreaming ’bout the easy life that I once lost
Left everything behind and now I miss home
Living life romanticized is a lost cause

Longing for the dream fields that I once crossed
Dreaming ’bout the city life that I once lost
Left everything behind and now I miss home
Time has been floating by and now it’s all gone

Pull my boat slowly through the sand
Burning hope floating from the land
Out to sea I come home again
Burn my boat I’ll be gone

Wondering about how our roads crossed
Don’t want to be guy that you once loved
Left everything behind and now I miss home
Difference between day and night then it got all lost

Pull my boat slowly through the sand
Burning hope floating from the land
Out to sea I come home again
Burn my boat I’ll be gone
