  • Basement Jaxx – What A Difference Your Love Makes

    Afurther glimpse of the forthcoming album that they’re currently busy crafting, ‘What A Difference Your Love Makes’ is, in Felix Buxton’s own words, “summer feel-good music for the club, the car, and the bar (b-q)”, introducing the stirring vocals of folk / soul artist Sam Brookes. Penned by the Jaxx with a hand from Chicago house legend DJ Sneak on a drizzly evening 6 months ago, the track is the complete antithesis of the weather conditions that day, although it has proved to go down a storm in recent live shows.

    Hi energy house track from Anna Lunoe.   Has that 90’s House vibe, almost rave-ish but more on the side of House as opposed to Rave.

     

     

  • Michael O – Invincible

    Michael O (aka Michael Odokara-Okigbo), better know for his lead singing in the a cappella group Dartmouth Aires on NBC’s the “Sing-Off” is about to release his debut solo EP, “In the Beginning…” From which we have the first cut entitled, “Invincible”.  Invincible sports a 808-esque bassline with Michael’s smooth vocals.   Interesting builds and creative use of his voice makes this track standout.

    Also of note:

    “In the Beginning…” will release on iTunes for $2.99 with part of the purchase proceeds going to the Mugadi Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that provides education in the Global South.
