  • [New Track] The Bird and The Bee – My Love

From their forth coming album, “Ray Guns Are Not Just the Future”,   due out in January, comes a romantic moment courtesy of 60’s inspired duo known as The Bird and The Bee.   Great production and wonderfully sweet vocals as always from Inara George.

If you drop by their myspace page, you can glimpse of several tracks from , “Ray Guns Are Not Just the Future”.

  • Love Story – Losing You

New Project from Courtney Fortune, with a deliciously sweet pop track.   This track would fit nicely on an episode of Grey’s Anatomy.

  • Cornelia – The Meaning of that Day

I imagined if Bjork had a younger punkier sister, her music would sound like Cornelia.   In particular this track, with Bjork-esque vocal touches and minimal percussion and electro whispered beats.

My favorite line from this track:
“The Bitch is back no way to hide you”   — Friggin brilliant!

    thesixtyone.com bio:

    Cornelia: ‘Oxygen is my friend.
Without her, you could say I just wouldn’t be.
My song… our song, that you hear – it’s a relationship. Our conversation.

The air and my chest meeting at some half way point in my throat.

So, this is what I do. I write songs, and in turn they rewrite me.
    I sing them.
I sometimes play them… or just play with them. The song needs to be played with; it has its own character and feel. Like plants, rabbits… they all need that arching fresh air to function.

Sound sweet sound, whether I’m up or down.

My brain brim-filled with widespread layers of songs, pushing out of my nose and each corner of my eyes. I can’t stop it. It’s an all time flow, in close connection to both heart and mind.

Sometimes I have to travel far to look for that oxygen. Life is all about going somewhere, learning, meeting new friends. Change of decisions, making new arrangements on the side of plans you thought you had already figured out.’
