  • Oliver Nelson – Changes (ft. River)

    Ol;iver

Delicate vocals over a relaxed house beat that features some muted brass horns.   Think in terms of Flume and the way he uses brass sounds in his tracks.

    About this song

Having racked up over 45 million plays on Soundcloud, more than six No. 1 positions on Hype Machine and over 1.5 million streams on his debut original ‘Found Your Love’ with support from artists such as Kygo, Hayden James, Tensnake, Blonde and more, Oliver Nelson deliver’s his second original release on Perfect Havoc titled ‘Changes’ featuring vocals from fellow Perfect Havoc and Fast Car singer ‘River’ from South London.

Over the summer of 2015, Oliver hit the U.S. for a debut tour, playing sell out shows including a headline set in New York at the Full Moon Party (Brooklyn Mirage) alongside Tensnake; at San Fran’s summertime Radness Pool Party, and Sound Nightclub in Hollywood. Festival appearances followed at TomorrowWorld in Georgia and FNGRS CRSSD in San Francisco, plus supports slots for the likes of Kygo, Thomas Jack and Hayden James through his 3-month US Tour.

Oliver’s next single following on from ‘Found Your Love’, ‘Changes’, demonstrates a completely different diversifying production from Oliver, moving away from his well-known usually bright summered nu-disco style, instead, Oliver shows a dark, edgy and what he calls “Deep-Disco” vibe, with a heavier and moody slow tempo feel. Vocalist ‘River’, who recently featured on fellow Perfect Havoc’s ‘Tobtok Fast Car’ which went Gold in Australia and has over 21 million streams on Spotify, delivers a beautiful original angel and almost Scandinavian style vocal that compliments Oliver’s Scandic production immensely into one epic sound.

2016 is already shaping up to be an exciting time for Oliver with his previous headline shows in Paris at Wunderlust, 1015-Folsom in San Francisco and a returned appearance to Kitsune at Soho House Miami in March for Miami Music Week, followed by up-coming shows for Kitsune in London on September 3rd and ShowCase in Paris on September 6th with Live Nation for Perfect Havoc Disco plus more original releases from the nu-disco king on Perfect Havoc.

Changes Feat. River is out on June 24th 2016 on all major digital stores and available for pre-order from iTunes now: http://apple.co/28JjZ0O

  • Attom – Better (ft. Justin Stein)

    Attom

Fans of Disclosure will find something to Latch onto here (see what I did there…)

Attom is Iowa City native Kyle Stern, Informatics major turned producer.  Let me just say, I’m glad he switched gears.  Production is top notched and the melody is fantastic.

    About this song

    Track info:

Launching off his upcoming series for MFN Music/Ultra Music with the debut single “Better,” Attom is providing a first look at a direction that is yet to be heard from him. While the stateside artist’s new record has the underbelly reflecting his chilled out aesthetic from past releases, the rest of the track’s framework offers an internationally-accessible crossover sound, borrowing attributes from both modern pop and dance music. With a heap more to come from the series and of Attom, this first taste is a concoction of uplifting vibes, massive replay value, and ultimately an energy that is rather hard not to dance to.

“One of my main objectives behind making Better was to show a different area of my interests. Even though I’ve mainly been floating around in the chill music world, it’s a small slice of the different styles of music I like. “Better” is me branching out and embracing the other styles of music I’ve been wanting to make. I also wanted to create something that just kind of flips on the dance “switch” in people. Discovering a track like that is one of my favorite experiences, and it has always been a goal of mine to make a song that gives that feeling to others.” – Attom

    Attom info:

Iowa City native Kyle Stern, aka Attom, quietly sharpened his production skills while obtaining a degree in informatics from the University of Iowa. During the midst of his relocation to Duluth, Minnesota in the summer of 2014, Attom won subsequent remix competitions for Parade of Lights’ “Golden” and Chromeo’s “Jealous,”

His reputation grew in the fall of 2014 as Attom’s first single, “Glow,” was picked up on the popular YouTube channel, MrSuicideSheep and officially released on the Big Beat Ignition Miami 2015 playlist. The ethereal, “Cruise” debuted on MrSuicideSheep’s Seeking Blue Records not long after. Following this Attom won a contest for his remix of Odesza’s “White Lies”, which led to his first ever live performance at the Bonnaroo Music Festival.

Attom’s self-released track “Her” tallied over half a million plays across different platforms and the follow-up single, “Stay” soared with over 300,000 plays in under one month. He has since signed a deal to release singles via MFN Music/Ultra Music the first of which is the infectious record “Better ft. Justin Stein”, coming June 17th.

Despite his natural talent, it is Attom’s work ethic and dedication to his craft that has won over his increasing fan base. By juxtaposing chopped vocal fragments with angelic tones and subtly pulsing beats, the young musician has crafted a sound that is uniquely his.
