The mysterious electro-pop master has an undeniably catchy personal musical style, as can be noticed from his short repertoire of singles- Darling, I Can’t Forget You, and Clone Age.

2009 update bio:

“Sylvain Dalido began composing as Popular Computerâ„¢ in 2002, at first he created straight pop music but electronic elements fell into place, giving his music a technological fantasy angle, of life on the edge, running too fast.

In 2004, Popular Computer’s track “I Can’t Forget You” caught the attention of Tiefschwarz who included the song in their Misch Masch mix compilation.

In 2005 it was released by Kitsuné Music as a 12” and was featured in the Kitsuné Music/ Fearless Records compilation Kitsuné Fur.
Popular Computer’s “Darling” was then featured on the Kitsuné X compilation, “Darling” was considered by many to be the standout track on the compilation this would lead to his next track, “Clone Age” to be featured on the first of the now prestigious Kitsuné Maison series. Once again the track was considered by the press to be a shining example of the Maison series and would lead to his next track “Next Level Pope” featuring on the second Maison compilation the following year.

Following this, Popular Computer gained more exposure through his wide range of unique remix work. Sylvain has already remixed the likes of “New Young Pony Club”, “Mylo”, “Hot Chip”, “Pacific!”, “The Whip” & “Shinichi Osawa”. His remix work is unparalleled in quality when you hear a Popular Computer remix there is no mistaking his unique production style.
