Call back to the classic house sound from Chicago where the party didn’t stop till the sun came up. Sweatnik produced one clean deep house track with the soulful vocals of Brandon Markell Holmes. I sure hope these two join forces again in the future. Sweatnik’s previous release, ‘Smoke It Out’, is another track to add to your playlist.
Photay – The People
Out of the gate this track is intriguing with it’s unique percussive track and funk groove. Love to hear new textures being used for the rhythm and the vocal bits help push the beat forward. Overall nice mixture of House, Funk, and electronic groove. For fans of Super Collider (Jamie Lidell).
The Familiar – Control
Chilly atmosphere that is leveled up with warm vocals. The vocal melody on this is what sold it for me. I love where she hits the higher notes on lyrics “from what’s nice and comfortable” — so pleasing to my ears. Give this track a full listen as it evolves and picks up more energy but never in a jarring way. This is production on a higher level.
