It’s Friday, and it’s time too kick it “Old Timey”
The Beat Goes On was originally recorded in 1967 by Sonny and Cher and then cover/remixed by the “All Seeing I” in 1997. Love the original, but of course I prefer this version. Kinda has a FatBoy Slim feel to it.
The All Seeing I – Beat Goes On
What also followed a year later was a mash-up of “The Beat Goes On” with Puretone’s track, “Addicted to Bass”.

This mash-up was produced by Brat Productions (aka Daniel Barassi). A very unlikely pairing that mashes up well. Check it out for yourself:

Here’s a fun mash-up of Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell’s “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” with MSTRKRFT’s “Easy Love”. According to The Reborn Identity’s myspace page:
Hi, I’m Gavin. By day I’m a magazine editor, but in my spare time I assume The Reborn Identity to produce mashups and the odd remix. You can sample some of the results below or visit www.rebornidentity.com to hear them all.

This is taken from an anit-war, beatles, mash-up album called, “Hate” – as in, I “Hate” the war in Iraq… The entire mash-up album can be downloaded from here. Now, not all of the mash-ups are that great, but I really like “Drive My War” and “Buddy Girl”.
