Harking back to those 80′s Industrial, Gothic, Synthpop days are Cold Cave.   However, Cold Cave (aka Wesley Eisold) takes care to not just repeat the sound of the 80′s but to push it further for a more relevant sound for today.  Very strong Joy Division and New Order vibe on this track.  This track is taken from Cold Cave’s second full length titled, “Cherish the Light Years”.

Oh, oh, oh, love the dark vibe on this and the electronic buzz in the intro.     So this was spawned on indabamusic.com as a contest entry for Jimmy Tamborello of Postal Service fame.   Reverb Junkie is the solo venture from My Dear Disco lead singer Michelle Chamue.

By the way, let this track breath for the first 40 seconds till Michelle’s voice kicks in – shear bliss.

Miss Kittin is back with a new full length title, “BatBox”, which hits the streets March 4th, 2008. This track has some what of a dark rock-esque bassline that rumbles through-out but also has a nice gothic feel to it all. I can’t get enough of her humming backing vocals on this track. I think I’ve listened to non-stop for the last two hours… time flies…
