The Pragmatic – Do You Blame Me

Karl F Kling’s vocals remind me quite a bit of Ben Gibbard (of Death Cab for Cutie and The Postal Service) but a little deeper. Their music is kinda whimsical at times yet it never gets too silly, and can evoke memories of 80’s bands. This particular track even has some cool chip-tune sounds and just for good measure also throws a splash of Disney-esque electrical parade music in there too (watch the video below if you haven’t had the pleasure of hearing and seeing the electrical parade yourself).

Electropop group IKKI is generating solid tracks full of ultra-catchy gems. Combining talents from its several members, IKKI features Jesse Shaw (Minneapolis’ Uber Cool Kung Fu), Ricardo Autobahn (UK’s Spray and Cuban Boys) and Chad Dyer (St. Cloud’s Electric Almighty.) Taking cues from bands such as New Order, Carter USM and Spray, IKKI blends hooking lyrics with a punchy sound.
