Class Actress – GFE

Latest release by Class Actress is GFE which was produced by Neon Indian. Most definitely has a swatch of 80’s fabric wrapped around wispy vocals.

Toyboy & Robin – Like A Shadow (Ft. Robyn Sherwell)

Relaxing mood set against disco-esque vibe.

Bio

Toyboy & Robin started gaining admirers early in their career when they released “No More Sunshine” (stream) on UK Independent label Sccucci Manucci, which went on to reach #1 on Juno and positioned a spotlight firmly on the duo’s slick garage-flecked productions. But it was Summer 2013 that saw the real jewel in their crown, “Jaded” (YouTube), which subsequently saw them touring all over Europe and the UK.

Having produced stunning remixes for Ellie Goulding, Lana Del Rey and Oliver Heldens, Toyboy & Robin also boast support from the likes of Radio 1’s MistaJam, Toddla T, Cameo and Target, and DJ support from the likes of Bondax, T.Williams and Waze & Odyssey.

All of these factors combined has led to their signing to Big Beat/Atlantic Records.  With the “Save Me Now” (feat. Sam Wills) single out now, and their Studio 7 EP dropping May 24th, Toyboy & Robin look to well and truly stamp their mark on 2015.

Studio 7 EP Tracklisting:

  1. Save Me Now (Ft. Sam Wills) (Radio Edit)
  2. Losing My Love (Ft. Rothwell) (Radio Edit)
  3. Like A Shadow (Ft. RobynSherwell)

Ralph – Trouble

Think Stevie Nicks meets Giorgio Moroder with a slow tempo.  RALPH is Toronto based artist Raffa Weyman.

Short Bio

Working with producer and musician Johnny Grieco, along with several others, the sound combines upbeat nostalgia with a fresh pop-synth sound, including the occasional slow track to showcase her smooth vocal chops. Lyrically, Weyman is a stickler for strong lyrics with depth and meaning, so be sure to listen carefully to the words behind the playful melodies, as they tackle issues of jealousy, fear, deception, and lust.

Her single ‘Trouble’, released through single label Skelly, will get stuck in your head for days and is the perfect summer jam, soon following with a music video. When she’s not writing hit tracks, Weyman enjoys pink bubble baths and Korean horror films.
