About this song

After Cheat Codes’ most recent collaborations ‘Sex’ with Kris Kross Amsterdam (190 million-plus Spotify plays and 25 million YouTube views and counting plus currently #9 in the UK chart) and ‘Can’t Fight It’ with Quintino, the LA based power trio are back with their newest collaboration. This time teaming up on their new summer jam ‘Let Me Hold You (Turn Me On)’ with the Dutch DJ/producer phenom Dante Klein. The young DJ/producer only last year bursted into the scene with his track ‘Ertesuppe’ which received support by heavyweights such as Pete Tong, Avicii and The Magician.

Cheat Codes and Dante Klein’s new track ‘Let Me Hold You (Turn Me On)’ is a rework of Kevin Lyttle’s hit ‘Turn Me On’. “Everybody loves the classic Kevin Lyttle song ‘Turn Me On’, so we were stoked to re-do it and put our own little twist on it. The melodies are timeless so we just wanted to modernize the lyrics and rhythms a bit.”, explains Cheat Codes.

The track has been secretly gaining global traction on Spotify as an ID track (with 3.6 million Spotify plays( and was revealed earlier this week on Billboard where also the video premiere of the accompanying video took place. “I am so excited that this collab with Cheat Codes is finally seeing the light of day. We had such a great time making it and can’t wait to play it for everyone this summer.”, tells Dante Klein.

BIO:

PERTTU

He started his musical career as a drummer in a number of different bands, getting to know a wide range of influences, from folk, funk, punk through pop music to rock and metal, and is currently a producer in the electronic/dance genre. We are talking about Perttu, the 25-year-old Finnish native who was born on the small island of Suomenlinna and has lived and worked in Berlin since 2014.

Perttu started to play drums at the tender age of six. Having been introduced to rock music by his father, he soon felt the desire to become a celebrated rock star himself one day. Before graduating in Finland, he toured Europe as a teenager with his metal band, getting his first taste of the international music scene.

His feel for rhythm and his growing interest in other instruments inspired him to teach himself to play the guitar and the piano, although his main focus continued to be on drums. His development from drummer to producer of electronic music was, as Perttu puts it, a ‘rather slow and continuous’ process.

Unlike many other artists from the electronic genre, Perttu records a lot of his samples himself, creating a totally unique sound and coming up with wonderful ideas such as taping the noises made by his cocktail parrot. Another significant aspect of his work is his collaboration with Finnish vocalist Alexandra, whom he lovingly refers to as his “little sister from another mister”. The two have known each other from childhood and Alexandra now also lives in Berlin. Her unique voice inspires Perttu, and it was Alexandra who supplied the vocals for his debut single “Waves”.

Her husky, soulful voice lends the track its very own, special atmosphere, and along with playful sonic accentuations, “Waves” captivates with its largely self-produced sound which comes across as diverse but never restless. Whether melodious downbeats, the use of different percussion kits, flute sounds or haunting bass lines – there seems to be no limit to Perttu’s creativity.

His music is considered to be unique for a very good reason, but Perttu is not satisfied with resting on his laurels, asserting: “I want to learn how to be an even better producer.”

With his music, he has long transcended the borders of his native country. Perttu has found lots of new inspiration in Berlin and is now ready to conquer international terrain. His goal: “I want to be an artist – a performance artist. I’m working on expanding the live aspect of my shows, and since I am no singer I will find other ways to make me unique on stage.”

We can look forward to a talented young artist who has his finger on the pulse while always remaining faithful to himself.

Bio:

Hotly tipped vocalist and pop starlet in the making Catina Mezereon aka CAT introduces herself to the world with debut offering ‘Stronger’. This jacking garage house track is produced by The DaBeatFreakz and showcases her powerful, soul-ladened vocals. Hear ‘Stronger’ on a dance floor near you this summer.

Based in LA CAT was discovered whilst she was studying fashion at the London school of fashion & design. Making music on the side during this time, one of her demos found its way to the ears of multi-platinum Grammy award winning artist and rapper, Pras Michel (Fugees). Pras was an instant fan and soon introduced her talent to the right people to build a team around; the mega-producer Aaron Phillips (Pink and Mandy Moore), hit-maker Chucky Thompson (Mary J Blige, P. Diddy and Notorious BIG) and creative genius choreographer Laurieann Gibson (Lady Gaga, Nicky Minaj, Beyoncé and Michael Jackson).

With all bases now covered and after spending most of 2016 in the studio honing her skills, CAT announces herself with this house-pop gem. With a style to match her striking vocal delivery, this is one name to keep tabs on this year.

Watch out for the official music video and a remix package all coming soon, including a remix featuring Ghetts on the mic.
