Think Kraftwerk meets Justice and you are more than halfway there. Sporting some metallic percussion and an odd vocal makes it other worldly. Then the bass line drops and things really take off. This track is boiled down to only the essentials but has all the attitude and vibe to get people moving.
No doubt this girl has a voice. She reminds me of Sting’s daughter who used to go by the artist named, ‘I Blame Coco’. Positive message in the track and production is stellar. The song is well crafted and has a nice melody. The video is all inclusive and shares the positive message of the track.
VERSE Take a hit it’ll help you calm down I know that you’re tired Don’t you wanna be one of the cool kids now One of the cool kids now Get a grip everybody gets around Pull that dress a little higher Everybody’s doing just a little more now Just a little more now PRE-CHORUS Hurry up, hurry up make your choice No one’s gonna hear your voice All of this anxiety Creeping up inside of me, stop CHORUS We just need a little more love People taking care of each other You’re my sister, you are my brother Yeah we just need a little more love Starve the hate and feed the kindness Put all of the fear behind us We just need a little more love, love Just a little more x3 VERSE Everybody knows that boys don’t cry Just keep it all inside you You don’t want to show no one your weakness now Cause it’s not allowed They laugh at what you’re wearing And it’s way overdone Now your holding back tears, while you’re holding a gun If anyone would listen, even just one Think of what could be done x2 CHORUS We just need a little more love People taking care of each other You’re my sister, you are my brother Yeah we just need a little more love Starve the hate and feed the kindness Put all of the fear behind us We just need a little more love, love Just a little more x3 BRIDGE Shine your light Cause you never know Who’s in the darkness Please don’t be heartless Shine your light Cus only heaven knows When someone’s hurtin’ It’s always worth it CHORUS
This disco is apparently in the Caribbean with a rock guitar. The rhythm on this is has a tropical vibe and is accented with disco string stabs. The song is catchy, has a solid beat and overall fun vibe to it. I can hear quite a bit of Micheal Jackson influence on this track from how the vocals are sung to the Caribbean beat. Of course, there is the classic disco sound of lasers on this track as well, which reminds me of Lipps Inc. – Funky Town
Lyrics: You say you love me but then you don't answer the phone Saturday night at the disco you're dancing alone You were never convinced by what your mama would say And she'll never forgive you no way-o She said boy you better work all day 'cause you're every night at the disco Boy - you're every night at the disco
