The strongest track off of “Broken Bells” debut album is “The Ghost Inside” with it’s dark overtones and gritty guitar — harkens to the production work on several Gorillaz tracks of the past.   This is not by accident of course, since one half of Broken Bells is non-other than Danger Mouse (aka Brian Burton) himself.   The other half is the lead singer of the Shins, James Mercer.
